Hand hygiene products are essential for infection prevention and click here control (IPC) measures in healthcare organizations, contributing to society.Lack of hygiene practices may expose pathogenic agents that cause the spread of epidemics and increase people’s vulnerability to diseases.Multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) techniques are a nuanced and robust decision-making (DM) approach that efficiently provides the most optimal solution under the influence of multiple criteria. The weighted aggregated sum product assessment (WASPAS) is one of the most widely used MCDM techniques, which is a combination of the weighted sum model (WSM) and weighted product model (WPM) used to measure and compare the ranks of the alternatives with the concerned criteria. This research article aims to discuss using the WASPAS method under the picture fuzzy set (PFS) environment to solve problems in the healthcare field.
More precisely, our interest lies in selecting appropriate hand hygiene materials for hospital nursing staff.Using the strength of PFS to model the stochastic nature of DM, the present study assesses multiple hand hygiene options concerning the criteria critical to nursing practice. The findings from the WASPAS method are compared with those from conventional DM techniques, including PFS.The present study has established that applying the WASPAS method in context with the PFS improves the evaluation borstlist självhäftande of hand hygiene materials, enhancing the DM process for using materials that can improve essential infection control practices in hospitals.
